Meow

So.. I got a kitten. Her name is Tate (not by my choosing). I wanted to name her Chloe, but I was in good mood and chose to relinquish my naming power to Adam. He chose Tate. Fantastic. She meows all the time, but besides that she is precious! She got a little carried away with the "biting" yesterday and bit a hole in my finger... literally a hole. I bled. It hurts ad I am typing right now.

My parents are coming to town this weekend and I am pretty excited. We are going to do all the wonderful things KC has to offer. Gambling "boats," Royals Game, Piano Bars, The Plaza... the whole nine yards. I am just excited to see them and show them the city that I am growing to love!! We will probably have to keep the "trendy" locations to a minimum seeing as how Adam and my parents will be joining... probably no Westport nightlife (Maybe a piano bar down there) but definitely not the power and light district. Bummer. Adam can pretend, my parents can't.

Adam made pan fried chicken last night. If I wasn't already dating him, I would have started then. SO GOOD. He fried it in butter flavored Crisco. Can you say, "Heart Attack." I didn't even care though. It was delicious!!!!

I have begun the process of acquiring a taste for beer. Boulevard Wheat. A little lemon and you are good to go! I am excited about this newfound liking. I can be normal now. :)

You can be normal now huh? I strive to be not normal. ha. Being normal is no fun, cuz once you get down to normal, all you have left to do is go back up to being original. This is a mountain metaphor in which I am the king of the mountain/hermit hiding in a cave near the peak.

Notice how a mountain has a lot of mass (mindless drones) at the base, and as you get higher, there is less mass (orignal thought), until you get to the top where you are truly original - the only person like you. But then you're just über-weird. I'll take the cave hermit role.

I got the scarf link off GIZMODO. They're a gadget/anything nerdy blog.

they're awesome! i read it every day. that's where i get most of my mac knowledge and my general nerd knowledge base.

Also, I dig the cat's name. I have a friend named Tate. He's one of those über-out-there art major tip-of-the-mountain types that I envy. Just FYI.

Chloe would be good too though I guess. ;)
